- MD/Ph.D. Student Conference Congratulations are in order to Seth Holmes, Scott Stonington, Ippolytos Kalofonos, Maya Ponte, Clair Dunne and other students in DAHSM who organized the conference for MD-PhD students in the social sciences and humanities: “Practicing Theory, Theorizing Practice”, which went on last weekend (May 14, 2005). Please look at the article (PDF
) which will appear in Synapse this week. It gives an idea of the scholars who came from all over the country to participate and the breadth of the material presented. I attended and thought the conference went extremely well, accomplishing everything the organizers had hoped for and more. Again, congratulations and thanks. - John Tercier
